RULES OF THE ARIZONA SAGUAROS CHAPTER #21
OF THE ESCAPEES RV CLUB
1. Rallies will be selected from suggestions made by members. The Rally Hosts for each function will be volunteers. An attempt will be made to vary locations.
2. The Rally host will furnish the following information to the Chapter secretary for publication in the chapter Newsletter.
a. Name of campground, address and telephone number.
b. Price and facilities available.
c. Directions to locate campground.
d. Designation of meals and other planned activities.
e. Address and phone number of Host and Assistant Host
3. To facilitate planning, and as a courtesy to our volunteer Hosts, members will, when possible, notify the Host by mail or telephone if they plan to attend the Rally. Such notice is not mandatory, and members are encouraged to attend even if they have been unable to provide notice.
4. It is the responsibility of each member to maintain his copies of the by-laws, rules and roster by amending them as specified in the chapter Newsletter.
5. Prospective members of the Escapees RV Club may attend two Chapter rallies if they desire, prior to joining the Escapees RV Club.
6. Prospective members and guests will be provided with nametags by the rally host.
7. Members are expected to keep their campsites clean and any member who brings a pet shall:
a. Keep their pet in their RV or on a leash when outside the RV. The leash shall be short enough to allow complete control of the pet.
b. The pet must be controlled to preclude excessive barking.
c. Arrange supervision so as to prevent disturbances during the absence of the owner.
d. Pick up and dispose of any droppings.
e. Keep pets away from social areas in deference to attendees who may be allergic.
f. Rally site campground rules will be followed when a conflict arises.
8. The rally host shall collect and turn over to the Treasurer any rally fee collected from attendees. Said fees shall be collected at time of registration. This fee will be used to defer rally expenses with any excess going into the chapter treasury.
9. No Smoking will be allowed in and around chapter functions. Attendees desiring to smoke will adjourn to an appropriate area.10. In consideration of other attendees, members are requested not to run generators before
8 AM, between 1 and 4 PM, or after 9 PM, when rally is in a “dry camping area”. Campground generator rules will take precedence.
11. Children attending rallies shall be under the supervision of a responsible adult at all times.
12. If any member’s actions are offensive it shall be up to the grieved party to discuss the action with the offender first and try to reach a compromise. If the parties concerned have attempted to settle a dispute and have been unable to do so, the grievance shall be taken to a chapter officer for settlement. A member may be asked to leave the rally or, if the circumstances warrant, may be expelled from the chapter upon presentation of such evidence that the member’s behavior is deemed to be unacceptable to the majority of the membership at the first voting opportunity.
13. The elected officer positions of President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary will have the authority to expend funds for the day-to-day operations of the chapter, for example but not limited to, newsletter printing costs, postage, mailings to members or prospective members, to an individual amount not to exceed $150.00. Three out of the four officers must ok any expenditure. Expenditures greater than $150 must be approved by a vote of the membership.
14. When the chapter is represented on “The Row” at an Escapade, the chapter representative(s) may be reimbursed for the expense of one RV in attendance. If the SKP Saguaro Co-op and the chapter representative(s) are one in the same the cost of one RV’s attendance will be split 50/50 with the Co-op. The chapter President in consultation with the other chapter officers and the Co-op Board President, when appropriate will select the chapter representative.
Remember, the Escapee’s motto is Sharing and Caring about each other.
